Navigating the CIATTI MS Overall Process

The overall process seems to involve 9 main steps:

  1. Entering an item: Item is king. No item, no sales. The process starts with entering an item into the system. This is a bulk wine to sell, some bottled wine.

  2. Matching with a Buy spec: Next, you match the item with a Buy specification. This is a document that outlines the requirements for the item, such as quality, quantity, and price.

  3. Sample shipment request: If the item matches the Buy spec, you may need to send a sample to the buyer or seller for approval. This requires creating a sample shipment request.

  4. Sample shipment: The sample is then shipped using a carrier or broker, and its progress is tracked in the CIATTI even when it's internationally shipped.

  5. S&P Agreement: If the sample is approved, you can create a contract, which is called an S&P agreement. This contract outlines all the terms and conditions of the transaction, such as payment terms and delivery timelines. S&P approval: Once the contract is drafted, it needs to be approved by both parties.

  6. Sealing and archiving: Once the contract is approved, it needs to be sealed, and the item quantity is decreased or archived. The Buy spec is also archived.

  7. Item Fulfillment: Once the wine is loaded, you can set an item fulfillment, which confirms that the transaction has been completed.

  8. Invoicing: you can then create an invoice, which is a CSV table that you upload into your invoicing system.

  9. Tracking and reminders: You can track everything related to the transaction in the Transactions tab and your Dashboard. You can also set reminders to ensure that you don't miss any important deadlines or milestones.
