An item is something for sale.
There are 10 types of commodities, including bulk wine, bulk spirits, bottled spirits, bottled wines, etc.
By default, the last commodity (which is likely the most commonly used) will be filled in.
To create an item, you need to fill in at least two fields:
- Commodity type and
- Supplier Company.
Ideally, if you want to add the varietal, you can enter the first few letters of the varietal and the fields for Generic, Sub generic, and Varietal will be automatically filled in.
Similarly, for Appellation, you can enter the first few letters in the search bar and scroll to find the desired information, which will fill in the fields for Country, State, Region, County, District, Appellation, etc.
If you have the information, you can also add the available quantity and price. From this screen, you can generate samples by indicating the number in the corresponding field.
If you are mainly a Supplier broker, you need to guess what type of wines / spirits is available (which varietal? which appellation? which supplier?) so that Seller brokers would find your suppliers when matching.
